Everything has a rhythm - your body has a rhythm, nature has its rhythm, and your breath has a rhythm. Have you noticed when someone is singing and the rhythm falls off, how the harmony in the music gets disturbed? Similarly, when our body goes out of rhythm, a person experiences discomfort. To be at optimal health, keeping the rhythm of the body intact is necessary. To be at optimal awareness, the rhythm of the body should align with nature's rhythm.
Both Allopathy and Ayurveda help bring back the rhythm of the body. Each has its own strengths. Allopathy is a more localized way of addressing issues and provides quick relief, but it doesn't consider the healing of the mental, emotional, and spiritual body. Ayurveda, on the other hand, can address presenting issue while at the same time addressing the mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of a person, although it may be a slower process.
By recognizing the value of both approaches, individuals can potentially integrate the best of both worlds, leveraging the strengths of each to achieve optimal health and well-being. And, as we discussed in our previous article, the purpose of health is to aid you in achieving your goals and making your life meaningful by fulfilling them. This concept is also referred to as Purusharthas in our scriptures.
I have come down to Kottakal Arya Vaidyasala for treatment. Fortunate to meet some of the best doctors here. It is a hospital with 120+ years of experience in propagation of Ayurveda, the ancient health care system of India. It offers classical Ayurvedic medicines, authentic Ayurvedic treatments & therapies to patients from all over India and overseas.
